Wow, I really loved The Cupid Dilemma by April Asher. Such a
fun and quick paced story, with a fake dating trope that combines modern dating
issues with light paranormal elements.
Adalyn Whitlock is one of the daughters of Aphrodite. Yes,
that Aphrodite the goddess of love. Adalyn is a wedding planner and part of the
trio that runs the Happily Ever Forever event planners. The business has had a
run of bad luck and even worse press. and much of the bad press lands on Adalyn.
Adalyn needs help restoring her reputation and that of the wedding planning
business. Along come Phoenix ‘Nix’ Cross, the bad boy drummer that has moved
into the apartment next door.
Phoenix ‘Nix’— has run into a creative block in his song
writing and he needs a muse and believes that he has found one in Adalyn, his
next-door neighbor. He comes up with a fake dating plan that will help Adalyn’s
business and in exchange she will help him as his muse. Their fauxmance is a
fun romp and I really enjoyed the banter between the couple and their fake
dates.
What I really loved about The Cupid Dilemma was the dating
really felt like dates that anyone would enjoy going on and built the
relationship between Adalyn and Nix in a way that rang true for me. The side
characters are also engaging, and I can’t wait to see if Adalyn’s business
partners or Nix’s bandmates get a happily-ever-after as well. Fun, colorful and
very sexy The Cupid Dilemma is a very entertaining read.
If you are looking for a feel good romance with great
characters, romantic settings and sexy fun times then The Cupid Dilemma is a
must read.
