Best Is Yet To Come by Debbie Macomber - Audio version

 Best Is Yet To Come

by Debbie Macomber

Audio Version

Best is Yet to Come is one of those stories that we all

can connect to. They say that every person makes their

way into your life for one of two reasons. They either are

here to teach you something or to learn something

from you. It seemed like this whole story was full of

situations proving this.

Hope and Cade each are trying to find a way through

their personal struggles. Then along comes Shadow.

A dog also living with struggles.

It's not just the three of them learning the hardest of

life lessons. But the other people in Oceanside,

Washington. Everyone is connected.

If you have ever read Debbie Macomber, you know how

much heart and love and life you will find in her stories.

If you choose the audio version of Best is Yet to Come,

you will get to hear Therese Plummer. One of the best

narrators ever. So you really do not want to miss the

chance to get in on this story.

Sunrise on Half Moon Bay by Robyn Carr - Audio Version

Sunrise on Half Moon Bay
by Robyn Carr
★★★★★
Audio Version

Being the caretaker of your parents is never easy.
Adele has been doing just that for 8 years. She was
glad to do it. Her older sister, Justine, was thrilled
that Addie wanted to do it. Justine was a successful
lawyer. She was glad to financially help while Addie
did the physical work. Being as the sisters are
20 years apart in age, they have never been
emotionally close.
The plan worked out until both of their parents had
passed on. Now, it is time for Addie to get on with her
own life. It's been so long since she had her own life.
She had not given it any kind of thought.

At the same time, Justines marriage is falling apart
at the seams. Her work place is struggling. And she
is double thinking the high pressure life she has
been living to support everyone.
Both sisters are finding that they can lean on each
other during these times. It has never come up in
their relationship.

Helping Justine with her struggles is helping Addie
remember that she is worth more than a
caretaker. Now, they are both learning how to
manage their new lives. They are turning corners
to face the doors opening full of possibilities.
The two sisters are connecting in a way that
has never happened before.
The magnificent Therese Plummer has taken up
the narration reins for Sunrise on Half Moon Bay.
I enjoy the stories Robyn Carr tells and I like
listening to Therese Plummer tell them.

The View from Alameda Island by Robyn Carr - Audio version

The View from Alameda Island
by Robyn Carr
Audible version
☆☆☆☆☆

The View from Alameda Island is a wonderful,
touching story beginning with a lovely woman
named Lauren. She loves sitting idly in gardens.
Her life is so full of uproar and anger. Lauren
finds that just sitting in a pretty quiet garden
for a while can sooth her soul.

Beau is a landscaper that loves to work in
gardens. Lauren and Beau first meet in a
beautiful garden. They find that their lives
are in very similar stages. They have a lot
in common.
The two of them find they can help each other
through the very trying situations.

The View from Alameda Island is a story full of
hope. Perseverance. And love.
Beau and Lauren had both come to accept
they would not find love. They were just hoping
for a little peace.
Robyn Carr will always surprise you a little here and
there. Then, convince you that life is worth fighting
for. That love is worth fighting for.
Then, narration by Therese Plummer is always
a treat. She never sounds the same. But the
character portrayals are spot on.

Shelter Mountain

Virgin River is a wonderful special place. It attracts people
that need her safety, comfort and reassurance. The folks
that live there give Virgin River the amazing qualities
which call forth the name Shelter Mountain.
What a terrific story. Robyn Carr is a wonderful writer.
This time, she has created such a beautiful place.
People I would want to be friends with.
The story is full of real life. Hard, sad, painful experiences.
As well as amazing, heart warming, learning experiences.
When you are looking for a gentle, warm, soothing
place to go, look to Virgin River. Once you pick the
book up, or in this case, press play, you wont want
to stop listening. I hope you live somewhere that
also has such generous, kind and funny neighbors.
Therese Plummer is always a winner to listen to.
She brings every bit of the story to life.
It's almost like she is magic.

The Summer That Made Us by Robyn Carr - Audible version

The Summer That Made Us
by Robyn Carr
Audible Version
☆☆☆☆☆

The story starts with two sisters, Louise and Jo, that marry two brothers.
Each sister has three daughters. There is the family summer house.
Each season, the six daughters and Louise and Jo live in pure happiness
at the beach.Or so it seems. Anyone outside the family would think
its all magical. Everything is perfect for everyone.
Until that one summer.

The Summer That Made Us has a number of events that change
everything. Every life attached in any way is changed.
And the summer house is never opened up again. The closeness
is gone for everyone. Even Louise and Jo have lost their relationship.

As life goes on, one of the daughters decides she wants to see the
summer house opened back up. Wants to bring it back to life.

The Summer That Made Us is full of emotion. The roller coaster
of every different human feeling is displayed. I could not put
the book down. I needed to see whats going to happen next.
Robyn Carr brings deep, interesting and funny characters to life.

And Therese Plummer is excellent as always. Her narration brings
Robyn Carrs stories into my heart. I have loved them all.
Anyone that listens to audible stories knows that the voice
can make or break any story. Therese is wonderful.

I hope you will also enjoy The Summer That Made Us.
