Best Is Yet To Come by Debbie Macomber - Audio version

 Best Is Yet To Come

by Debbie Macomber

Audio Version

Best is Yet to Come is one of those stories that we all

can connect to. They say that every person makes their

way into your life for one of two reasons. They either are

here to teach you something or to learn something

from you. It seemed like this whole story was full of

situations proving this.

Hope and Cade each are trying to find a way through

their personal struggles. Then along comes Shadow.

A dog also living with struggles.

It's not just the three of them learning the hardest of

life lessons. But the other people in Oceanside,

Washington. Everyone is connected.

If you have ever read Debbie Macomber, you know how

much heart and love and life you will find in her stories.

If you choose the audio version of Best is Yet to Come,

you will get to hear Therese Plummer. One of the best

narrators ever. So you really do not want to miss the

chance to get in on this story.

I bought my copy from Audible.com.

Dear Santa by Debbie Macomber

 Dear Santa

by Debbie Macomber

Audible Version

If you are a Debbie Macomber fan, you know

certain things to expect from her books.

You will always feel happy that you read it.

There are probably going to be a few moments

of suspense. Most likely, there will be a

character or two that you think are the worst

of human kind. There will always be generosity,

kindness and forgiveness. Often, I think I

could never forgive that. Or I could never get

past the anger at that person. But in the

end, as with real life, I usually find that I

am glad she forgave and moved on. Just

as I usually feel in my own life.

Her books are not what I would call

goodie-two-shoes. They are kind of like life

lessons. Life lessons we all have to manage.

Dear Santa will remind the reader how

important it is to follow your heart.

Listen to your conscience. And the old

saying, If you can either be right or

be kind, choose to be kind.

The narrator, Keylor Leigh, does a nice

job. Easy listening. Debbie Macomber

always does a personal message at the

beginning of her audio books.

I am always glad to listen to it.

I hope you enjoy it.

Jingle All The Way by Debbie Macomber - Audio Version

 Jingle All The Way

by Debbie Macomber

Audio Version

☆☆☆☆☆

I always enjoy reading Debbie Macomber. Her stories

and storytelling always wind up my heart. I know it

will be terrific characters. Of course, Jingle All

The Way is exactly what you hope for.

If you are a workaholic, this is a story for you.

For all the rest of us, it is a story to remind us.

How important time is. How much some things matter

and some things just don't.

Everly is in control. She can handle everything.

Until she gets on a cruise down the amazon. Everly finds

out she can manage even if she is not in control of

anything. From the first minute on the boat, she is

one disaster after another. Don't we all have

those times? When we just cannot get it together?

The best part, she isn't the only one learning

important life lessons.

And you can never go wrong with Therese Plummer

doing the narration. So Debbie Macomber ticked

off all the boxes with this one.

Angels at the Table - Audio version - by Debbie Macomber

Angels at the Table
by Debbie Macomber
Audio version
★★★★★
Shirley, Goodness and Mercy are angels filled with
love and good spirit. It is also best if they stick
together. One of them going off on her own is
never the best idea.
Now, the three of them have Will, an apprentice.
Will has quite a job. He does seem to know when
something is a bad idea. But maybe not just quite
in time.
The four of them are off on a mission. But, as often
happens, they have twists and turns that send them
off on the long way around to the final mission.

Debbie Macomber will always make you smile and
lift your spirit. There is always hope. No matter
how bad you messed up, it can always figured out.
Kimberly Farr did a sweet job on the narration.
Angels at the Table will make your day a better one.

I listened to this story thru the library.

Merry and Bright by Debbie Macomber

Merry and Bright
by Debbie Macomber
 ☆☆☆☆☆
I always enjoy reading a Debbie Macomber
book. She is full of happiness and you can feel
it in every word she writes. Even if its a sad
part of the story. You can feel the inspiration
lifting the characters and situations up to find
their happiness.
Merry and Bright is a short but sweet love story
with a fun twist. Merry and Mary meet up with
Jay and Jayson who may or may not be so Bright.

If you passed by this one because it has a
Christmas cover, never fear. The romance,
relationships and life lessons are a much
bigger part of the story than the time of year.

Merry and Bright is a story to be enjoyed
all the year round.

Any Dream Will Do by Debbie Macomber - Audible Version

Any Dream Will Do
by Debbie Macomber
Audible Version
☆☆☆☆☆
Any Dream Will Do is a wonderful story of love and
second chances. Third chances and having faith.

There are many sayings about every choice. Every
decision. Every twist and turn alters the course of
your life. This is a great story enforcing that.

Shay has learned all the lessons the hard way.
Then the time comes. Shay has learned the lessons.
She is living her life with integrity, energy, honesty
and loyalty. You might think that will cut through
all the unhappiness and create smooth sailing.

Oh no. There are always more lessons.
Any Dream Will Do is full of hope. You can feel
deep in your heart that Shay is trying.....

Debbie Macomber has a way of writing such deep
and real characters. The situations. The surroundings.
You can feel them all as you read Any Dream Will Do.
I hope you enjoy it.

I know you will enjoy the narration. Two readers for
this story. Mark Deakins and Laurel Rankin. I always
feel like having two readers in a story like this adds
so much! They both did a great job.

Hannah's List by Debbie Macomber - Audible version

Hannah's List
by Debbie Macomber
Audible version

I cannot begin to imagine where Debbie Macomber gets all her ideas from. Every book has its own feel. There is no standard potion for her stories. Hannah's List is part of a series. I have not read any of the others, yet. But it was not necessary to completely fall head over heels into this story.
A year after his wifes passing, Dr Michael Everett is given a letter from her.

She expresses her final wish is for Michael to make a new life for himself.
To find a new love. In that direction, she has made her own list.
A list of three women that Hannah knows. She believes each woman has something that may appeal to him. Hannah directs him to make the effort to meet and get to know each of them.
It's an interesting journey for Michael and all three of the women on Hannahs List. This story is so full of love and romance. And many surprises. Could Hannah know how meeting these women might direct Michael to change his life entirely? Maybe these women are or are not meant for him. Who knows where this request from Hannah will lead him.

To make it all even better, the narration is wonderful.
Fred Stella did a great job. Personally, I prefer a male voice for
most romance listening. Fred is the perfect type
male voice for this kind of story.

Last One Home by Debbie Macomber

Last One Home
by Debbie Macomber

Cassie made a poor decision. Because of that bad choice,
she found herself in a deep hole. A dark place that felt
like there was no way out. No one to call for help.

Last One Home is a book with so much life. A lot of
people with so many choices and plans. Trying to
make the most of every day.

Cassie found a way out of the dark place. She dug her
way out, inch by inch. Setting the strong, smart, moral
example for the daughter she is raising by herself.

Debbie Macomber often writes of forgiveness and second
chances. Work hard. Be true and loyal. Last One Home
brings Cassie full circle back to her sisters. She finds out
that she is not the only one that makes big mistakes.

I enjoyed reading this story. Just as I typically do with
any Debbie Macomber read. I hope you will give it a try.
And get as much feeling and inspiration from it as I did.

I got my copy in a used book store.

If Not For You by Debbie Macomber

If Not For You
by Debbie Macomber

Beth has grown up with loving parents. A stable and comfortable life.
Now, twenty-five years old, a college graduate and ready to be in
charge of her own life. Unable to accomplish this living so close
to her parents, she moves from Chicago to Portland, Oregon.
While she is busy making a wonderful life, her friend sets
Beth up on a blind date with Sam.
It is a life changing moment. A life altering event.
Neither Sam nor Kate take a liking to each other.
They have virtually nothing in common. How could their
friends have possibly thought that Kate and Sam would
suit each other?

Sometimes, Cupid is harsh. She must get her point
across by any means necessary. The means Cupid uses
on Sam and Kate are tough. They are two very strong
willed people. Capable of getting exactly what they want.
But now, they each have to figure it out.

They have to figure out exactly what it is that
they want. It can be very hard to allow your heart
to be open to someone. It requires faith
and strength. But they both make mistakes.
Can Sam and Kate get past each others mistakes?
If not for you.....To have that special person in
your life. The one that makes the difference.

Its a lovely story. With twists and turns to keep you
entertained and interested. I enjoyed this story
very much. And I hope you will too.

I got this book from the library.

The Christmas Basket by Debbie Macomber

The Christmas Basket
by Debbie Macomber

Debbie Macomber is so successful and well known
which makes it easy to commit to reading one of her
books for the Christmas season. Her books always
have a bit of fun. Along with something to make you
think. Plus family. At least all of her books I have read.

This one is the story of two best friends. Then,
an event. Then, a mistake. Then, pride. Much pride.
They wind up enemies for years. Forcing their children
to carry out the hard feelings. Pushing their husbands
to choose sides.

In the end, the husbands never listened to them.
Their children don't listen to them. Its all such
a shock, isnt it?
Love wins out. Love of friends. Love of the holiday
season. Love of children. The love that comes
from generosity and kindness.

I hope you find the time to read
The Christmas Basket. Keep it in mind
when the season comes around. Or when
you are sweltering in the summer. The story
will make you grab for a sweater.

A Girls Guide to Moving On by Debbie Macomber | Review

A Girls Guide to Moving On
by Debbie Macomber

Debbie Macomber is very popular and has been around
for a long time for a reason. Her books are wonderful.
She is a terrific writer. I cannot imagine where the
characters come from. They are always different.
Her stories don't seem to have a formula that she
follows all the time or anything. A Girl's Guide to
Moving On is exactly that. Storytelling at its best

Nichole and Jake have a child, Owen. They are divorced.
Leanne is Jake's mother. She is divorced from Jake's father,
Sean. The two women are very close. They support each other.
They each know where the other has come from. And Leanne
loves spending time with Owen. They live in apartments
across from each other in an active area of Portland.

The story is told from each of the women's viewpoints. It is
the story of moving on. Just as the title says. I won't give
away any more.  I will only say that its a wonderful story.
Its well written with a readers flow. Terrific characters.
As we all are, they are humanly flawed. I do recommend
this story to anyone, though I guess it does speak to
women better.

I appreciate being able to get this copy from NetGalley.

Starry Night by Debbie Macomber

"Then you sent me that text, reminding me
about the night we viewed the stars. You asked me to
remember you. Did you honestly believe forgetting
you was even possible? I fell in love with you
that starry night."

A wonderful winter read. Its short but sweet.

You will like Carrie. A journalist with big
ideas and lots of energy. She kind of needs help
in the friend picking department. But she is a good
daughter and determined to have the career she
wants. Then there is Finn.
Carrie needs Finn. She wants Finn. Oh does she
ever need and want him. But Finn, he only wants
to be alone. He does not want Carrie or anyone else.
The twist is that neither of them knows what they
really want. Love throws them both into a
tail spin. Will either of them figure it out?
They both have their pasts. Their mistakes. And
their fears. One of them will have to be
strong and jump. Who will it be?
