The Country Guesthouse by Robyn Carr - Audible version

The Country Guesthouse
by Robyn Carr
Audio Version
★★★★★

The Sullivans Crossing area brought to life by
Robyn Carr is expanding! Favorites like campground
boss, Sully, and his lovely writer friend, Helen, are
here and a big part of The Country Guesthouse

Owen is a Sullivans Crossing resident. A photographer
that happily roams the world. But he has built a
wonderful house to live in when he isn't roaming.
Owen rents the house when he is away.
Hannah has rented the house for a long relaxing
vacation. She has just become the guardian to Noah.
The 5 year old son of Hannahs best friend. Hannah
hopes to use this vacation time to help Noah cometo terms
with his loss. He is also dealing with Cerebral Palsy.
She is hoping  for the two of them to
become a team. To make a small family.
Owens trip was cancelled so he is staying in the
guesthouse behind the big house. Hannah and Noah
meet Owen and his dog, Romeo. It's immediate
friendship. There is drama. There are crisis
situations. The Country Guesthouse is filled with
emotions across the board. Through it all,
there is friendship and maybe love.

Therese Plummer is the narrator. She is always
marvelous to listen to. I am not sure what it is
about her. But I always enjoy her.

The Best of Us by Robyn Carr - Audible edition

The Best of Us
by Robyn Carr
Audible Edition
☆☆☆☆☆
Every so often, a thing will make its way around on Facebook.
Someone will ask you to list your 15 favorite authors.
There are a lot of authors I like to read. But when I reply
on that FB thing, I generally list 4 or 5. There just aren't
that many that I will automatically buy. Or that will
absolutely make the time to read.
Robyn Carr is one of them.

I have never ever been disappointed in her stories.
To add to that, she uses Therese Plummer to narrate
her wonderful stories. I think she may be the best
narrator I have ever listened to.
The Best of Us has been typical in that I did not want
it to end. I believe she could just keep writing and
writing these characters and this place on and on.
Generation after generation. And it would never
be boring. Not just Sullivans Crossing. Any of her
stories or places.

Dr Leigh Culver is a capable, smart, kind
independent woman. She was raised by her Aunt Helen.
Who is exactly the same. Both Leigh and Helen are sure
they can manage. Neither have any interest in marriage.
What kind of life is that? With no permanent strong
connection in love with another?
Can they leave themselves open to new possibilities?
Are either of them willing to turn loose of their heart?
Does the right man exist?
I highly recommend The Best of Us.
I hope you will enjoy the story however you go about it.

The Family Gathering by Robyn Carr

The Family Gathering
by Robyn Carr
Audible Version
#audiblebook

We go back to Sullivans Crossing. To catch up with
the fabulous characters that live there.

Dakota Jones is the latest person to straggle in.
While his brother and sister are well known there,
he is not. His family is sure he will be
around for a short while. Even if they would wish
for longer. And every single woman in the entire
area seems to be drawn to him.
Well, every one except.....of course, the one he is drawn to.
She is not drawn to Dakota. At all.
Robyn Carr is so dependable. Her characters, towns,
situations are wide open and real.
I have enjoyed reading every one.
You get an extra bonus from The Family
Gathering audible edition!
Therese Plummer as narrator!
She always adds another dimension to any story.
That makes her a favorite of mine.

What We Find by Robyn Carr

What We Find
by Robyn Carr

Not all wonderful stories, movies or writers can make us cry.
Sometimes, it's the readers mood of the day. Or maybe it's just the
writers style. Sometimes, I don't feel the emotion
because the writers style just does not find that in me.
But this one, this writer, this story, they will find it in you.
They will find it all in you.
Maggie is an amazing neurosurgeon. She finds herself burning
out. In need of a break and her father runs a campground.
The perfect place to refuel. Maggie has been there long
enough to figure it out. She knows what she wants.
She wants it all. As she drove into the parking lot at her
fathers place, she came upon a mess. Picnic tables turned over.
A collapsed tent. A smashed up police cruiser. And people
standing up on the porch staring, telling her to stay in her car.

"There, in the grassy area between the store and the campsites,
the bull was grazing lazily. But it was very clear that before he
settled down to lunch, he'd scared everyone half to death.
She looked a the ceiling of her car. "When I said all, I
wasn't counting on this!"

I won't tell you the rest of that story, but it isn't the most
unusual part of this book. And at least, it isn't a spoiler.

Cal is a drifter just biding his time til the weather improves
enough to get hiking. He is helping out, glad to pay his
own way. And a total mystery. Even his name is a fun mystery.

I have read a number of Robyn Carr books. They are always
a pleasure. Just as this one has been. There is always a lot
of story in each book. Romance. Action (see bull excerpt above).
Family is often a big part. And community. I hope you will
find the time to enjoy this one.
What We Find is
book one of the Sullivans Crossing series.
