Shakespeare in Love - Movie Review

Shakespeare in Love
Movie Review
✰✰✰✰
I love watching romantic movies. When they add a
bit of comedy in, all the better. Then they add
some inspiration. That's how you get
Shakespeare in Love.
It's a sweet story with happy ending.
Not the happy ending you are expecting.
Or maybe the kind of ending you think
it should be. But it is a happy
ending, none the less.
This movie came out in 1998.
And it is worthy of a wonderful evening
with a special someone.

A Walk in the Clouds - Movie Review

A Walk in the Clouds
Movie Review

I believe this one was released originally in 1995.
So, ok, its been around for a while.
Keanu way back when. Its a lovely wonderful
romantic story. A young man comes home from
war. He gets a job selling chocolate on the road.
Goodness, what a tough way to make a living.

A man living in an honorable way. And a woman
trying to make her way in spite of a demanding
but loving papa.

Such a romantic and sweet movie. Lots of
family and humor. There is always comedy
when you have family, right?
Looking for an enchanting, moony type
movie?? Maybe date night at home?
They probably have this one at
your local library. Or Amazon probably
sells it pretty cheap.
Its worth it.

Me Before You - Movie Review

Me Before You
Movie Review

Released 3 June 2016
Running time is 1 hour 50 minutes

When I saw the trailers for this movie, I was sure
it was going to be so sad. Depressing. A real downer.
Which, when I think about it, I wonder why anyone
would ever want to see such a movie?? But I did.
My husband even came with me.
Both of the starring actors were completely

new to us. We didn't recognize either of them.

There really is not much I can say about
Me Before You without spoiling it. Only that we
enjoyed it. We both did. I did tear up a
couple times.  But in the end, the story was a
magnificent one of love and broadening ones
horizons. I will say, please, keep your mind
open at the end. We both thought it was
a fabulously done movie and a great ending.
Really, the best possible way to end it.

The Lucky One - Movie review

The Lucky One
A Movie Review
Released in 2012
Starring Zac Efron &
Taylor Schilling

I read this story before going to see the movie.
It was my first and only Nicholas Sparks books.
I was not warned ahead of time that his stories are notorious
for their sad endings. Thankfully, the movie was not.
It was close to the book. But I preferred the movie.
Kind of a strange ending but happy.

I have never been a fan of Zac Efron, he is so pretty.
Its really hard to watch him. But he really did a fabulous
job on this one. A brooding, struggling Marine suffering
with ptsd. He is trying to find an angel he thinks saved
his life more than once on the battle field.
I have never seen Taylor Schilling in anything else.
She was perfect for this part. Her grandma is played by
Blythe Danner. Never much cared for her movies in
the past but she was perfect for this role and did a
great job.
Its a romantic movie with real actual hard, destructive,
scary, sad, emotional life. Because it winds up the
best possible way, you can only sigh.

Crazy Stupid Love - Movie Review

Crazy Stupid Love
A Movie Review
This movie released in 2011
Starring Steve Carell, Julianne Moore,
Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone

You can probably guess what this one is about from
the title. It's a completely unexplainable story.
There are surprises. Plenty of them.
I love all the unexpected laughter and fun. You
really think you will dislike certain characters
But in the end, it's all about love.
And a happy life.
This movie is one fantastic scene after another.
This is just one of them. Looking for a romantic
movie for the evening with your sweetheart?
This one will work. It's so romantic and such
real life, flawed characters.
Highly recommended.

Love and Friendship - Movie review

Love & Friendship
Movie Review

Released 3 June 2016
Running time is 92 minutes.
This is the kind of movie that is so very
rare. Funny. Romantic. Silly. Historical
times. Hollywood completely fails at this.
They could make them often and people
will go see them. The theater was packed.
They had the line ropes outside. Because of the crowds.
And there was every
age group. Couples. Seniors.
Teenagers!Seriously, teenagers! Why dont they have
more of these movies??

The lead female character is Lady Susan Vernon
played by Kate Beckinsale. She stirs up trouble
wherever she goes and yet, she has plenty of
friends. Men are attracted to her. Lady Susan
has no money, but that does not even slow
her down.
The only thing is I would have liked it to be
a little longer. There was plenty of story to
tell. Even saying that, it has a terrific ending.
I surely did not see it coming.
I recommend it to everyone. Couples will love it.
Its full of romance but only in the funniest way.
It is not sappy stuff. So even the men enjoy
the humor. I hope you will like it as much
as we did.

The Vow - Movie review

The Vow
A movie review

Released 2012
Starring Rachel McAdams &
Channing Tatum
This is a wonderful love story. A true love, love story.
Two crazy kids that were completely in love and then
the ''moment of impact''. An accident. Paige loses her
memory. Her husband, Leo is not ready to throw in the
towel. He will try anything to get their old life back.
I fall in love with love every time I watch this one.
Such a dreamy story. With complete devastation.
I feel like there are a few messages in this story.
Forgiveness. Family and how much family has to
be guarded. Be thankful for true friends.
But at the end, I always find myself thinking that
it's a story of meant to be. Truly meant to be.
A wonderful sincere concrete magical ending.
I sincerely recommend this movie for a sweet
love story watch. But also, a movie that
will make you go 'hmmmm'.....
I enjoy taking time every so often to rewatch

an old favorite. This is one of mine.

P.S. I love you - Movie Review

Movie Review
Released in 2007
Starring Hilary Swank &
Gerard Butler

Yes, this one has been around for a while.
But, oh my goodness, you can't beat the
romance and love in this movie.
Ok, sorry, that clip is not the love and romance
that makes this movie incredible. But it does show
that there is also comedy. A lot of laughter.
Harry Connick, Jr is fabulous. All the characters are.
There is plenty of sadness and tears. But only in the
best possible way. Sadness and tears from love.
Now that clip. That's more like it.
Indeed this movie is one of the best most
romantic love stories. With an incredible ending.
For me, the ending of a movie or book can make
or break my opinion of it. Or it can make the
difference between average or amazing.
If you love movies with romance, emotions
running the whole scale of emotions, laughter
and a wonderful perfect ending, this would
be the movie for you.
